All India Survey on Higher Education

AISHE is the national census-style survey of universities, colleges and stand-alone higher-education institutions. It records enrolment by programme and social category, teaching and non-teaching staff, examination results, facilities and finances, and publishes indicators such as gross enrolment ratio, gender parity and pupil–teacher ratio.

The portal provides reports, downloadable tables and an interactive dashboard. Institutions report their own data, and coverage or classifications can change between rounds, so apparent year-to-year jumps should be checked against the report’s institutional coverage and methodology.
