This index is broad and shallow by design. These go deep on one subject, and several of them are where we found things worth listing here.

A short list, deliberately. Anything that hosts its own data is filed as a data source in the index instead — what is left here is the directories proper, whose whole contribution is knowing where to point you. Where a licence is stated we say so; it decides whether you can build on their work or only link to it.

Maintained by Samagata Foundation, covering 28 states and union territories. The whole dataset downloads as CSV, which makes it one of the few Indian cultural-infrastructure datasets you can actually analyse.
