Global Health Data Exchange (GHDx)

The GHDx is the data catalogue of the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) at the University of Washington. It is the best starting point for discovering health data for any country — search by geography (India), topic, or data type and find microdata, survey results, disease estimates, and administrative records. For India, the GHDx indexes hundreds of datasets including state-level disease burden studies, NFHS, SRS, civil registration, and cause-of-death data from multiple sources. The Global Burden of Disease results are accessible through a companion tool (vizhub.healthdata.org/gbd-results).
