Bhukosh

Bhukosh is the Geological Survey of India’s geospatial gateway for published geoscience information. It brings map-indexed geology, mineral occurrences, geochemistry, geophysics, exploration and thematic layers together for searching, visual inspection and, where permitted, download or web-map use.

Coverage and scale vary substantially across layers, and a map suitable for regional interpretation may be inappropriate for parcel- or site-level claims. The portal can be slow or temporarily unreachable, and some functions require registration. Check each layer’s edition, scale, metadata and access conditions; official publication does not automatically make every geoscience product an openly reusable dataset.
