ForRivers

ForRivers (forrivers.life) is an immersive digital commons and ecological storytelling initiative by the Paani Earth Foundation that investigates rivers as connected, living ecological systems.

The platform maps river networks from origin forests and headwaters down to floodplains and urban streams. Through interactive cartography, field photography, hydrological logs, and historical baseline comparisons (focusing on the Cauvery Basin and Bengaluru’s urban river corridors such as the Arkavathi and Vrishabhavathi), ForRivers documents forgotten waterways to counter shifting baseline syndrome and support community-led river restoration.
