fossunited.orgFOSS United Foundation promotes and strengthens the Free and Open Source Software ecosystem in India. It organises IndiaFOSS, FOSS Hack, local chapters and meetups, supports maintainers, and conducts research and advocacy around technology policy and open digital infrastructure.
Its grants programme funds Indian FOSS projects, maintainers, events, open data and other digital commons work. The grants catalogue records supported projects, while Forklore profiles Indian maintainers and the software they build. FOSS United is also part of OASIS, a network working to increase the use of open technology in social-impact organisations.
