GeoLibre

GeoLibre is a community-driven platform providing free and open geospatial data, tools, and resources for India. It hosts shapefiles, geojson files, and spatial datasets contributed by the Indian geospatial community — including administrative boundaries, infrastructure layers, and environmental data that are often hard to find or expensive through official channels. For civic technologists and researchers, GeoLibre fills a critical gap: while the Survey of India provides official products, GeoLibre offers community-curated, ready-to-use spatial data that is free of cost and licensing restrictions.
