RBI Database on Indian Economy

The RBI’s Database on Indian Economy (DBiE) is the central bank’s statistical warehouse — the authoritative source for data on money supply, banking aggregates, credit and deposits, financial markets, external sector (balance of payments, exchange rates, foreign reserves), prices (CPI, WPI), and public finance. For researchers, DBiE provides long time series (many going back to the 1950s) with consistent definitions and well-documented methodology. The interactive portal allows custom queries, charting, and data downloads. DBiE is maintained by the RBI’s Department of Statistics and Information Management and is the most reliable single source for Indian financial and monetary data.
