Tarkam

Tarkam addresses a structural gap in India’s civil society ecosystem: valuable data collected by grassroots organisations is mainly used for internal reporting and rarely shared or reused. Tarkam builds shared data infrastructure, strengthens organisations’ data capacity, and enables collaboration so that place-based insights from community organisations can enter public and policy discourse. Rainmatter Foundation supports Tarkam as part of its belief that open systems and shared commons are key to solving complex environmental challenges.
