uMap lets you create beautiful, interactive maps on top of OpenStreetMap in minutes, with zero technical knowledge. Import data from GeoJSON, CSV, KML, or GPX files; style points, lines, and polygons with custom colours and icons; add pop-ups with descriptions and photos; choose from dozens of background map styles; and embed the result in any website with a simple iframe. For Indian civic organisations, uMap is the fastest way to turn a spreadsheet of locations (polling stations, health facilities, water sources, project sites) into a public-facing interactive map. Hosted instances are free and maintained by the OpenStreetMap France community. The software itself is open-source and can be self-hosted.
