ALF integrates legal practice with social justice struggles, providing legal defense and advocacy for marginalized groups including informal labour unions, sexual minorities, sex workers, and displaced communities.
ALF conducts critical legal research, publishes policy briefs, and litigates on constitutional law, intellectual property and access to medicines, gender justice, urban governance, and freedom of expression. It views law not as a technical trade, but as a critical site of social struggle and democratic accountability.
