Kalpavriksh

Kalpavriksh is an Indian environmental action group whose work connects biodiversity conservation with livelihoods, democratic governance and social equity. Its programmes span community-conserved areas, environment and development, urban ecology, environmental education and documentation of alternatives to ecologically destructive models of development.

The organisation also publishes books, newsletters, research and teaching material and convenes Vikalp Sangam. Soochi lists its Community Conserved Areas Portal separately because that is a data resource in its own right; this entry is for the wider organisation and body of civic and advocacy work.
