PARIVESH (Pro-Active and Responsive facilitation by Interactive, Virtuous and Environmental Single-window Hub) is the government’s online portal for environmental, forest, and wildlife clearances. It publishes every clearance application, the associated documents (EIA reports, public hearing records, expert committee minutes), and the final decision. For researchers and journalists, PARIVESH is the primary tool for tracking what is being built through India’s forests, coasts, and ecologically sensitive areas — and for holding the clearance process accountable.
