While the RBI’s Database on Indian Economy (DBiE) is the statistical warehouse, the RBI Publications portal is where the central bank publishes its analytical and policy outputs. The most important regular publications include: the Annual Report (the RBI’s definitive account of the economy each year), the Financial Stability Report (biannual systemic risk assessment), the Report on Trend and Progress of Banking in India (annual banking sector health check), the Monthly Bulletin (articles, speeches, and current statistics), the Weekly Statistical Supplement (high-frequency money and banking data), State Finances reports, and the Working Papers series. The portal also archives speeches by the Governor and Deputy Governors — often the first signal of policy shifts. All publications are freely downloadable as PDFs.
