SEWA Bharat supports member organisations across multiple states representing street vendors, home-based workers, waste recyclers, and agricultural labourers.
The federation works across five pillars: organizing, social security (micro-insurance, maternal care, pensions), financial inclusion (women-owned cooperatives and microfinance), enterprise development, and skill training. SEWA’s cooperative model is widely recognized globally as a pioneering approach to informal labour empowerment.
