VAHAN Public Dashboard

VAHAN aggregates vehicle-registration transactions from transport offices and lets users break registrations down by vehicle class, fuel, maker, model, state, office and time period. It is particularly useful for studying electric-vehicle adoption, motorisation, commercial fleets and changes in the composition of new registrations.

Registrations are not the same as vehicles currently on the road, sales or vehicle kilometres travelled. Administrative onboarding and backfilled records can also affect trends. The long-running VAHAN4 dashboard is scheduled to be discontinued after 15 August 2026; this entry points to its new public analytics home and keeps the legacy link for continuity.
