Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy

Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy is an independent think-tank that does legal research to improve governance in India. Its work spans judicial reforms, regulatory design, municipal law, environmental law, financial regulation, and public health law. For researchers and civic technologists, Vidhi’s most important public artefacts are practical legal tools: the SARAL Manual for plain-language legislative drafting, the End-of-Life Care Toolkit with model legal documents, and the SARAL platform for simplifying legal language. Vidhi also publishes detailed legal analyses of proposed legislation, making it a key resource for understanding how laws are actually designed and implemented. It has offices in Delhi and Bengaluru.
