World Investment Report

The World Investment Report (WIR) is UNCTAD’s flagship annual publication, the authoritative source on global foreign direct investment (FDI) trends. Each edition provides comprehensive data on FDI flows and stocks by country, region, and sector; analysis of investment policy developments; and a thematic deep-dive (recent themes include investment in sustainable energy, digital economy, and global value chains). For India, the WIR provides the definitive international perspective on India’s FDI performance — tracking inflows, outflows, policy reforms, and India’s position in global investment rankings.
