DIGIT

DIGIT provides reusable, API-first building blocks for governments and their partners to digitise public services. Its shared registries, configurable workflows, role-based access and modular services can underpin citizen, front-line worker and administrative applications without tying an agency to a single vendor.

The platform originated in India and is maintained primarily by eGov Foundation. It has been applied to urban governance, public finance, sanitation, health and other domains. DIGIT is infrastructure rather than a ready-made service: meaningful deployment requires implementation partners, configuration, hosting and institutional ownership.
