Frappe

Frappe is one of India’s most significant open-source software companies. Its flagship product, ERPNext, is a full-featured enterprise resource planning system covering accounting, inventory, HR, manufacturing, CRM, and project management — used by thousands of organisations worldwide. The underlying Frappe Framework is a low-code, metadata-driven platform that lets non-programmers build custom applications through a web interface. Frappe also builds Frappe Cloud (managed hosting), Frappe Books (free desktop accounting), and Frappe Insights (business intelligence). For Indian nonprofits and social enterprises, ERPNext’s free and open-source nature makes it one of the few viable alternatives to expensive proprietary ERP systems. The company is based in Mumbai and maintains an active open-source community on GitHub.
