TREND by Youth Ki Awaaz

TREND is a research and evidence-building unit at Youth Ki Awaaz that documents young India’s opinions and cultural shifts through participatory methods. It runs three infrastructures: Yoot, a WhatsApp polling community of 200,000+ respondents; CHORUS, discourse analysis across 120,000+ citizen articles spanning 18 years; and Shape of Questions, a public archive of 3,000+ questions and responses.

The archive and monthly digests are openly browsable; researchers can request the fuller underlying datasets. Coverage spans health, education, employment, relationships, finances, urban life, climate, safety, elections, data protection, and AI, with an emphasis on Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
