Whatomate

Whatomate is an open-source, self-hostable communication platform built on the WhatsApp Business Cloud API. Developed in Go and Vue.js by Shridar Patil, it provides inbound and outbound WhatsApp voice calling, a drag-and-drop node-based interactive voice response (IVR) flow builder, call recordings stored directly to S3-compatible object storage, and messaging automation.

For non-profits, community helplines, civic organisations, and public campaigns operating in WhatsApp-first environments like India, Whatomate offers an affordable, self-hosted alternative to proprietary telecom and IVR services. It allows teams to build automated voice response trees, capture audio grievances, and coordinate community engagement without per-agent licensing fees.
