carbonmonitor.orgCarbon Monitor fills the gap between the annual Global Carbon Budget (released ~6 months after year-end) and the need for real-time emissions tracking. It uses machine learning on power generation data, mobility indicators, industrial activity, and satellite observations to estimate daily country-level CO₂ emissions from fossil fuel combustion and cement. Updated every 1-3 weeks. Particularly valuable during the COVID-19 lockdowns and energy crises when annual data was too slow.
